Taught by our Assistant Headmaster, Mrs. Colleen Posner, this course is designed to teach incoming sixth grade middle school students valuable skills to increase productivity and preparedness, as well as to set goals and to balance their academic lives. This class will focus on student life, preparation and procrastination, efficiency, active learning, and test preparation.

Taught by our Headmaster, Dr. Ben Mitchell, this evening class for parents provides an overview of classical, liberal education. Subjects reviewed in seminar discussion will include epic and lyric poetry, history, drama, philosophy, science, art, and rhetoric from ancient Greek and Roman authors.
This course is designed for any student entering ninth or tenth grade who wishes to prepare for ninth or tenth grade Humane Letters. It is an intensive course designed to help students who require more work on writing high school-quality essays.
This two-week course will focus on learning and developing basic skills on the piano. Students will be taught how to play the piano, read music, play basic chord patterns, and use these skills to both improvise on the piano and to write music! All required materials will be provided. Please note: Students must have a basic background in music theory (i.e., 6th Grade Music at Lincoln Prep, or equivalent).

This is a skills-based course designed for incoming sixth graders to strengthen their understanding of mathematical concepts by using numerical analysis to master the operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, percentages, and basic algebraic operations. This course is recommended for incoming sixth grade students and for current sixth grade students by letter of referral. Please note: a refundable $35 book deposit is required.
This course is designed to help current seventh grade students work on operations with integers and rational numbers, and move toward symbolic language. Students will learn to solve algebraic equations and will work with unknowns to solve various other problems.
